Rules of conduct and hygiene
On campus, the regulations of the President's Board and University Administration "COVID-19: Code of Conduct for Teaching and Working Practice in the 2020 autumn semester" are relevant. The campaign of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) about "Protect yourself and others" can be found here.
Mandatory wearing of masks
As a precautionary measure, masks shall be worn from Monday, 31 August 2020, until Saturday, 24 October 2020 (start of semester break) in all public/free access areas of the HSG buildings for the autumn semester. This applies to everyone moving from one place to another. As soon as they have arrived at their destination (place of study, workplace, lunch etc.), the mask may be removed. The mandatory mask also applies to short distances such as the way to the bathroom.
Please note, that it is mandatory to wear a face mask during the complete time of your group meeting on Monday (even if you are located in your group's room). A sufficient amount of face masks are always to be carried with you. Here, you can find information about the correct use of face masks.
In case of symptoms
Only people without any symptoms are allowed on campus. If you feel sick or have any symptoms of coronavirus, please stay at home, follow the guidelines of the FOPH. Information about the symptoms of Covid-19 can be found here.
Entering Switzerland
In case you are entering Switzerland from a country with high risk of infection, you need to stay in quarantine. The current list of the FOPH of countries and regions with a mandatory quarantine after entering Switzerland, can be found here. If you enter Switzerland from one of those countries, you must inform the respective cantonal authority. For that you can use one of the following links: St.Gallen, other canton.
